Welcome!

In celebration of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, Women and Girls Lead presents a special social screening of the documentary Taking Root. The film tells the dramatic story of Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai, whose simple act of planting trees grew into a global movement. This screening is presented in partnership with 350.org and the Greenbelt Movement and will include special guest panelists Stephen Mills, Director of the Greenbelt Movement U.S., and Kelly Blynn, Co-Coordinator of 350.org.
