Hummm love, love, love. O what a feeling! Or is it based on something more than just emotion? Well, love can be defined in a number of ways, depending on the language, culture and society. Love can be expressed in just as many ways as it can be defined. Love means giving that which is needed in spite of your relationship. It is brought to its climax when an enemy is in need and through free will assistance, is provided to fulfill the necessity of the individual or group of people. Because how difficult is it to give what’s needed to those who give to you? No difficulty at all. So when understanding love it’s about extending one’s self based on no conditions. This is better known as unconditional love.

I believe that love is an expression of great feelings or affection for something or someone. When someone says the word “love”, my mind, like most people, goes immediately to thinking about hearts, or kisses, or some for of affection. But I also think of the person I am in a relationship with, or could be in a relationship with. I also think of things that I love to do such as hobbies, music, sports, and social events with friends of mine. things that in the end give you a good feeling and make you happy So it’s not just limited to one thing, love can be directed to many forms. The word love can also be like the word hate, and can be over used many times or taken out of context. so when I say "I love...." I make sure it's meaningful and carries a deep form of sincerity, because if it doesn’t seem like the words are from the heart, then people are much less likely to believe that what you’re saying is real emotion. Happy valentines Day!!!

What is love?
I think that love is an intense feeling of positive emotion toward, or enjoyment of, a person or thing, especially strong romantic or sexual feelings between people; to feel tender affection for somebody such as a close relative or friend, or for something such as a place, an ideal, or an animal. Love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts. Love is beautiful and great feeling. Also, Love is good energy for people and animal. Love needs in the global everybody. I think that great love is important with parent and children. A mother loves for her children. Some mother gave her baby mother’s milk, which really loves. Love is sweet, honey, and warm so Valentine Day gives chocolate each other women and men.

Free write: what you think about love. What tangible imagery comes to mind?

I think love is a strong word and it is an important meaning. Love is something you feel, you care about and you love. When I think of love I think of family and friends. What comes to my mind is important, caring, kind, admire etc. for example I care about my family, I love them and I am kind to them, we are close to one another, showing your there for one another too, helping and supporting when you need them. My family encourage me and help me when I need something. They guide me through the right path and that shows they are caring. Love is something special and permanent that comes from the heart. Love comes from emotions a person feels. Love is a crazy thing for example when as couple are in love that’s a love for each other that they want to be together, but love as in I love my mom is different kind of love. There’s all types of different ways you can express love. Love is all over.

I believe love is when you care about someone a lot, and you are willing to do things for them that you wouldnt do for others. When i think about love, the first tangible tihng that comes to mind is my girlfriend Lilly. we do things for each other that we dont do for other people because we care about each other very much and we are willing to go out of our way for each other.

Great comments. Keep them coming. I think love is the most powerful weapon for peace, yet is the most under utilized. Love is human or life's potential in its highest form. We are most human when we allow love to have its way. Animals are great teachers and are even more evolved than us when it comes to love, the kind of love that matters, "unconditional love," the love which is self-generating, self-fulfilling, and self-satisfying.

I think of the cool predawn morning. When I feel love, it is cool and crisp yet I am warm. It smells like ozone lingering in the air after the rain. It sounds quiet and tranquil, noise carries very far. Little uncertainties and quaint distractions make catastrophic change on this plane. Entranced people get their minds melted and destroy themselves when reality stops matching their fantasy.

I believe that love is a set of thoughts, emotions, and chemical reactions that occur when you are with someone or something. Love can be different for everyone, it can be experienced when someone does an act that they normally would't do, but because they love someone they go to extrordinary lengths to make them happy. Society has assigned certain imagery to love such as hearts, cupid, and flower; in the case of valentines day, chocolate displays this sense of affection. To me, love can not be define by an image because it is mental and chemical and can not be portrayed in a still image.

I was always never too sure on how to define love. What is it exactly? When is it okay to tell someone that you love them? Sometimes I feel like stongly caring about someone and love are two different things. However, I can sometimes say that they are very similiar. I love my family and friends. I care about them very much and would do anything for them. I feel it is much more complicated to grow to love someone intimately. I feel that many abuse the word and often dont use it carefully. I am guilty of this mistake. I've learned to use with caution (haha). When I think love, the image of two people holding hands come to mind. Most would say a heart, or cupid. Love isn't always romantic. Share love with everyone.

Hello Ms. Sabir,

I define love to be a friendship on fire. Love is a drug. There are also different types of love as well. When I think about love, I get a tangible imagery of a warm feeling. The love I have with certain people is very strong and lasts forever. Generally, I immediately think of family when love comes into play.

Love is a woman. She is nurturing, loving, and comforting. It is something we secretly strive for behind our goals and plans. Since the day we are born till our last breathe, love is the greatest achievement we value beyond all of our accomplishments. Love is universal and over-powering. She is a drive. She drives most of our intentions and ambitions that fuels our lives. It is difficult and complex but it is worth all effort to attain. Love is loyal, affectionate, desirable, up lifting, supportive and powerful. She can be described as many things but words cannot capture the essence of what she really is. Love is something that is felt, bestowed and seen. She is the one priceless treasure that survives through time. Love is eternal and every lasting. We can feel it in our toes, our stomachs, and in our hearts. She is something magical that even transforms skeptics to believers. Love touches us in different ways that make us crazy, insecure, confident, stronger, or even makes us strive to be more than what we are. Love is something needed and wanted that we live off of. In desperation, we are slaves to love.

Love is a feeling that can be felt towards many things. Most of the time it can be a strong feeling someone towards a significant other. This could be the love a parent has for its child, a husband for his wife, or an athlete for his team. Love is a feeling of caring for someone of importance. I think that life without love is pointless. Love is key for living in complete bliss and happiness. Love can be a powerful force that can overcome absolutely anything. I believe love is the answer to a lot of the problems in this world. But at times people decided not to take the plunge and take the easy route out which is hatred.

A tangible imagery that comes to mind when I think of love is a flower. I believe you need to treat someone you love like a delicate flower and if you nurture it the right way the flower will grow into someone beautiful, so can love.

Love is a temporary madness. Love is an eternity unconditional giving. We all have love even though in different forms. When I am going to write something about this word, my mind is flashing with the video that we watched yesterday about the new heroes. Kailash Satyarthi has touched my heart. I admire his commitment to rescue the child slaves and giving them opportunities with education. I also come up with Oral Lee Brown; I have chosen her book “The Promise” for this semester. She has dedicated herself with a mission to blossom the group of kids who has lack of education opportunity. I keep think out a bunch of names who work to make a change for others; the authors of Half the Sky, the nurses, the doctors, the teachers, the moms, the people around you are all doing something for others subconsciously. This is all about Love. I like this topic.

What is love? For me, Love is our feelings, worries, and interests to other people. There are different kinds of love. When we are little kids, there is a love between us and our parents and grandparents. Until we grew up, a love between males and females occur, besides that we have the love between humans and humans or friendships, and so on. Also I believe that the love between our parents exists forever, and other loves are easy being break. For example, many couples divorce. In brief, Love is very strong, and it is also very weak.

Love is a symptom leading to heartbreak. No matter who you love, what you love, or where you love, your heart will always end up shattered.
Don't get me wrong, love can be a great thing for some, but as always, love will fail you and you end up sad, alone, and empty. Your love has you wound up in a fantasy, a fantasy thats only true in your own mind. In reality, love is a imaginary feeling.

I belief that love can be defined as a strong romantic feeling for someone. It also could be defined as a strong feeling of caring very much about someone or something. Interpersonal love refers to love between human beings. It is a more potent sentiment than a simple liking for another. Unrequited love refers to those feelings of love that are not reciprocated. Interpersonal love is most closely associated with interpersonal relationships. Such love might exist between family members, friends, and couples. Finally love is really important in people's life, it creates happiness, peace, and eliminates sadness.

Nobody knows love like my dog, Popeye. He is the grand master love doggie. All the guys want to play with him, and all the ladies want to kiss and hug him.

He may look scary at first. I'll admit, he is physically larger then some full grown adults. But his personality is nothing but kind and gentle. He loves life and loves people. Much more then I, or most people do.

Popeye is a dog that demands respect. Due to his enourmous size, extremely high intellegnce, and stunning good looks, it's natural for most humans to upgrade him to people status. It's like having a saint, wraped in fur living with you. Only this saint likes bones, and toys that squeek. We have dubbed him the moral officer of our house.

We love Mr. Popeye Dopplis, also known as The Popeye. He is awsome, number 1, super funtime, doggie-dog.

I think love is a relationship between two people. I t does not have to be about romance. People love each other because they care about each other. There are different kinds of love. When our parents love us, they will do anything to keep us happy. When a male love a female, it is very different than parents love. When a male tells a woman “I love you” it means they want to spend their rest of life together. A tangible imagery comes to my mind when I think of love is a beautiful red rose. Because love is very fragile so is a flower, when you take good care of it you will success and the smell of the rose will stay for a period of time.

Response to “Love”

Love is to me a lot like trying to get a beautiful rose; not worth the effort, and ultimately ends up cutting your hands a lot before you get to it. Sadly even once you get you prize all too soon it has withered and dried and is nothing like the lovely flower you once had.

At times love can be the most wonderful and fore filling feeling in the world, though the absence of that feeling or even of the person who brings you that feeling can leave you feeling devastated. The promise of love can be so tempting but unfortunately I believe that much like communism, love only works in a perfect world. To love you must maintain and possess trust, and how you trust someone as imperfect as you is probably the scariest part. Love puts an image in your eyes and has view someone as if they were the best but in the end they are just an angry, insecure and somewhat selfish person just like we all. We hold them to unreachable heights and are broke when our expectations aren’t met. I once heard a quote from where I don’t know, “the power in a relationship is with the person who cares the least”. Sadly it’s dangerous to love.

Sorry if I sound bitter.

What is love? When you think about love what tangible imagery comes to mind?

I believe that love is an unconditional feeling of trust, respect and affection one person has for another. If a person is in love they will do anything to better their relationship, and expect nothing in return. You feel safety and protection when you are with the person you love. You feel happy when you are around your loved one. The feeling you have towards that person is so strong that you feel as if you cannot be away from each other, and if you are you miss them. Being in love makes a person feel complete and satisfied. It makes one feel whole.
The imagery that comes to my mind when I think about love are hearts, kisses, the color red, and roses. More deeper, when I think about love what comes to my mind is my friends, family and boyfriend. I visualize being in a safe place with all the people that I love and being content.

LL Cool J Love Rewrite

In LL Cool J’s “I need love,” song he is explaining that he’s finally come to realize that he need to stop playing games and being this so call player and settle down and find this so call true love. He has an idea that it is hard to find it because he is searching for it and he trying to give a shout out to this girl that is his love. So that she can show who she is because he does not want to be alone and he wants to show her this love he has to offer. He would do all the thing a genital man can do, like open the door to the car, put his jacket down so she will not have to go through a puddle. LL says he would be this real man to this girl, her true love. This song is nice a I really like it since it is to me a old school love jam. From what I understood is he is showing a love that is beautiful some what a type of love you see in movies. Where the guys does what every he can at first to get a girl. From leaving flowers on her door step, to opening doors and so on. This love is nice and beautiful but I feel that love has its ups and downs and is not always this way mainly because the world is full of different people. People with many different personality and styles and some peoples way of showing there love for someone is not ways that way. But I feel that when person can really say they are in love with someone like deeply in love is when you open your whole heart to this person. Some people don’t understand that because they don’t do the whole opening doors and so on it mean that they are not deeply in love with a person, that is why I said that LL shows this movie love. But because of movie and love stories and heart breaks, I feel that people are really cautious of being or falling in love. Love is a beautiful thing and I feel that everyone need to experience but only when they are ready and with the person they feel is right so there wouldn’t have to be any regrets involved. But love is a very powerful feeling that make a person do things they never dream they would do for another person, it make you cry, make you laugh, makes you feel full of life, over all makes you feel happiness and fulfillment in your life. LOVE is a wonderful thing to have.

I think that love is when you want to be with someone because you feel that they are the right one for you. You don’t want to talk to no other guy and cant see yourself with anyone else. You feel like all you do is think about them. When you are with that person you feel all happy and as if you have butterflies in your stomach. Sometimes you start thinking about them without even realizing it. There are different types of love. The love that one feels for family, friends or a guy. I pretty much think about love all the time. I think that it is something important to have in life. When I think of love couples or hearts come to mind. I think of my boyfriend.

I really like the song by LL named “I need Love.” I do not think that many guys would admit to the things that he says about love. Guys are just too scared to show their emotions and how they really feel. A guy one point in his life needs to be in love, if not then they would end up lonely. Many people have more than one person at a time so that they wont be hurt. Like LL said guys like to play games but sometimes those games get old and those guys want to settle down with someone whom they can share everything with.
I think that it is important for people to be in love. Love is something that happens to all one point in there life and at times it can be scary. I don’t think that people should try and avoid love. It is a beautiful thing in life. It maybe painful at times but most of the time it is better. “And why do we sully, adulterate, and screw it up, blame it for failed relationships and charge the emotion with a life sentence: I will never love again” (p147). It’s just what people tend to do when they are hurting and have lost their loved one.
Just because someone is in love doesn’t mean that they are not hip or that it isn’t gangster enough. Anyone can be in love no matter what group or status that they are in. When people are in love they usually tend to give all themselves to the person that they are with. “There’s nothing more fly than sharing your world with someone who’s got you, mind, body, and soul” (p146). This is what all people look for in a person that they want to spend there whole lives with. People need someone who can be there for them through it all.

Reflection on "Love"

February 16th, 2010

From my humble opinion, I consider the word "Love" extremely difficult to define or express with words. Love is a sort of special feeling that all human beings possess within them. The real love comes from our heart and we express it mainly through our actions. Real, genuine and authentic love is difficult to see nowadays but there have been people around the globe who have been an epitome of love, compassion and sweet-heart. It comes to my mind, people such as, Mahatma Ghandi and Mother Teresa of Calcuta. Also for those Christians people Jesus Christ was, by far, the best example of love. Jesus Christ demonstrated to the world what love means. Those people are, without doubt, role models for everybody.

What is love? Love is a feeling that you have either for something or someone. It usually brings feelings of joy and happiness. However it can bring sorrow and pain. When I think about love the tangible thing that comes to my mind is my son Lane. Lane is an amazingly talented five year old who I would do anything for. Moving back to the original question; what is love? As I sit here reflecting on what brings joy and feelings of love to my life. To love is to go to the ends of the earth to accomplish, acquire, or appease something or someone. I think if you truly love someone or something you would give the ultimate sacrifice for it.

To me, love is the feeling of comfortability, and openness, and acceptance. Love is one of the hardest things to find, but one of the hardest things to let go when found. There are different forms of love. The unconditional family, the relationship love, the love your neighbor love and much more. To love someone you have to have a certain open mind to truly understand what it is that you love about them. In the terms of loving your partner, it's a scary thing. The feeling itself is amazing and takes more than just saying "I love you" everyday. It's a full time job and must be treated as such.

I believe that love is how you feel, your happiness, your partnership; your families are all love. Love is just love nothing more.

I remember the first time at school I was required to compose a poem, I really did not want to, but everyone was required to do so. Essentially, it was out of my control. I proceeded to right a poem about love, and what love means to me. It titled it “love and me” I can remember that I was real young; I was only in the six grade. At the time, I believed it to be very materialistic, I thought it to be having video games and toys. It seem like, back in those days, that all I cared about. But now, I know better, I know that love is something hard to find, it is also relationship between two human beings. Love is truly a great thing. I’m still looking for love and hope one day I find it.
