The topic from class today was wheher or not Tupac's life was a course of his actions or some destiny that he could not control.
If there was a poem read i missed it unintentionally. From studies about Tupac it is sad to see he was more important than what is commonlly known. his choosing to speak bas about the authority and government may have lead to his early death

When Tupac said "Now i'm lost and weary, suicidal so dont stand near me, Every move is a calculated step, to bring me closer to an early death..." it could mean any number of things. Today we have the terrorist form of destruction called suicide bombing. For Tupac personally it could have been him just planning for his early departure from life. Being tired and hopeless makes one feel like giving up and theres nothing left to strive for.
Since most of the stuff Tupac talked about has transpired it it save to say 'He knew what he was talking about'.

Freewrite Response to Shakur's "Starry Night"
Tupac believes that Vincent Van Gogh was an unappreciated and unacknowledged artist of his generation. But Tupac understands Van Gogh's passion for his work. Even though his work went unoticed, he persisted in creating masterfull pieces in order to stimulate his personal creative nature. This quality makes Tupac and Van Gogh one in the same. All of Tupac's work was made for himself or for others like him. He never once expressed his intense creativeness with the intent to make big bucks (though this happened anyway). And this is what creative expression is all about.

Freewrite for “What of Fame” by Tupac Shakur
The poem, “What of Fame” by Tupac Shakur is a very short but potent poem. He addresses one of the biggest fears of fame, exploitation. He states in the poem, “Never again R u Alone” (21). This line embodies the purpose of the poem; make people aware that fame is not always comfortable. An important part of life is a little bit of loneliness: to reflect and acknowledge. When someone never feels alone or never has any privacy it can really affect their sense of security. This poem is a very known issue that most will never know about, but Shakur addresses it to bring to awareness that fame does not necessarily mean happiness or security.

Freewrite Response to "The Shining Star Within : Dedicated 2 Marilyn Monroe."
"The Shining Star Within," by Tupac Shakur, was written with Marilyn Monroe in mind, and how her struggles as an actress were similar to that of Tupacs. He write, "There was no compassion for this thriving star/only exploitations and confused jealousy." Tupacs and Marilyns careers, and tragic endings, are much alike. He dedicates this poem to her, yet has an underlying auto-biographical theme.

God Poem
Everything in his life believes that God did it. When he needed someone the most God did it. It is hard when you when you feel like someone is they are for you and they are not then you would call on God for protection and guides. Tupac needed support from his family and friends but could not get them. God was everything he needed and more.

Free write- God Poem
In this poem Tupac writes about the one person that has had his back since day one of existence. Tupac credits God for everything, He say "When I was asked who I give my unconditional love 2 look for no other name except God". To me this shows his dedication and love for the creator. Tupac writes he would rather have God in his life and by his side rather than anyone else. He recognize that God is the truth and the light.

Freewrite Response to "The Shining Star Within : Dedicated 2 Marilyn Monroe."
I think that tupac identified really well with Marilyn Monroe because is story is very similar to hers. I also think it identifies with todays hip hop in that, no one seems to truly express themselves... or at least not in the main stream.

In the poem The Eternal Lament by Tupac Shakur the author implicates that from his "depth of my soul, i learn to achieve all of my goals." he intends to use all the power of his body to become successful in his goal. he states that he "seeks perfection" in all tat he does and failure is not an opinon. then he implies that he likes the feeling of affection but he does not want to be loved by a woman. the last thing he talks about is his mentality that will figure out ways to make him successful no matter what the perimeters are.

Free Write: “What is it that I search 4” by Tupac Shakur
In the poem, “What is it that I search 4,” by Tupac Shakur, he describes how he is unsure of his purpose. The thesis of the poem can be summed up in the line where he writes, “I know not what I search 4, but I know I have yet 2 find it.” he talks about how will he know if he has achieved his purpose if he does not know what his purpose is. He goes on asking whether or not if he has already found the answer before the question is even asked. He feels that you can not really know what the future will hold and believes he will never find what he is searching for.

Free Write: “God” by Tupac Shakur
In the poem, “God,” by Tupac Shakur, he describes the failures he has encountered in life. The thesis of the poem can is in the line, “no one came except for god.” In the poem Tupac talks about all the times people failed him except for God. He uses the line “no one came except for god” over and over throughout the poem. It is also the last line of his poem. This leaves the reader with an understanding that only God cares for Tupac.

Free write - God Poem by Tupac Shakur
“God” by Tupac Shakur is a poem expressing his relationship with God. The thesis statement in my opinion is the two words, “except … GOD.” These two words are repeated throughout the poem. It seemed as if whenever Tupac needed somebody only God was there for him. God was the only figure Tupac could really rely on in times of sadness and loneliness.

Freewrite "What of Fame?
The short poem is Tupac talking of his fame in society. Everyone knows who you are, everyone says your name and never are you alone. Is fame always a good thing? Just like people without fame wish for fame, people with fame sometimes wish they were rid of fame. I know if I was as famous as Tupac or some movie actor I'd take a long vacation to get away from all of the media.

If I Fail Response
In this poem Tupac promises to keep coming back and keep trying until he achieves his goals despite the many hardships he has had to endure. This mindset seems to be common in music and that is a good thing. I've looked for motivation and inspiration in music and know others have done so (and will continue doing) as well. Once a goal is achieved a new one is set and the process continues.

Free write: Reflection of the poem What Of Fame
This poem was very short and sweet. It only had three lines but the three lines were very powerful. The poem read every one knows your name, the world screams your name, never again are you alone. The last line, never again are you alone is very powerful. It made me realize that living the famous life is not always the happiest. Tupac was speaking about a disadvantage of being famous. Although famous people receive a lot of attention, it is not necessarily attention that is wanted.

Free write - "God" Poem by Tupac Shakur
The poem, “God ” by Tupac Shakur is very touching and convincing to someone who is lonely. I understand the part “no one came except for god”. This implies to me that he was not surrounded by a lot of friends or family members. This made him recognize that God is the only one there for his protection and guidance. His parents made little effort to socialize with him. So being alone made him have more communication through prayer. Therefore God helped him to become one of the most successful artists.
