Today in class we reviewed the Ode article on Muhammad Yunus. Students were to complete it for Monday. We will watch a New Heroes video on him Monday as well in the 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. classes. The other classes have seen it.

Here is a link to the article: http://odewire.com/53697/turning-poverty-into-peace.html This article is a model for how to approach your social entrepreneur essay assignment.

Other homework is to bring in your bibliographies for the book report essay in the 9 a.m. class. The other classes should bring in the IPS and if you have completed the book an outline and an introductory paragraph.

We also reviewed two students essays from Writing with a Thesis, from a handout I gave students months ago. One of the two essays is a summary, the other is an essay. We discussed the reasons. If you cannot find your copy and would like this handout, see me Monday.

I also showed students copies of another handout I gave you many months ago from the authors of Stewart Pidd. This handout helps students learn how to paraphrase and summarize. If you want to go over this with me when I am on campus, you can. Let me know.
