The poem I chose from "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" is "When I Do Kiss You" on page 57. I chose this poem because it shows how Tupac was just not only this thugish image we seen but also that he was very sweet and romatic as well. I also feel that alot of people can relate to the girl he was speaking about. I say this because he say that she's been hurt in her past and she's still not fully over it so she shows him affection behind a wall. She's scared to put her trust into a man again since she has been hurt in her past. Many females have experienced this too and from that have acted the same way even if they don't mean to. The best part in this poem would have to be "But when I do finally do kiss u/ u will realize at last my heart was true."
Free write on the poem What Is It That I Search 4
In the poem "What is it that i search 4," talks about searching for a certain something and not knowing if you find it or knowing what to do if he or she achieves there mission. It says at least to me your heart maybe blinded as you figure out what you r searching for. Sometimes it may take years to figure it all out. No one knows why it takes that long it could just be the way of life. As everyone searches for the answer for what they are loking for there is a sign of relief when the answer is found. Why do people come to conclusions right away.

The poem i chose is "And 2morow" (141). Tupac writes about how there is so much negativity filled into one day. Even when he goes to bed to lay his head down, he can't escape all the bad things around him. He uses cynical words such as anger, hate, tragedies, nightmares, violence and rage. But then as you get to the end of the poem, he changes the tone to more of a positive and uplifting voice. He wants change and for things to be different. He reminds himself that his dream is stil alive no matter what is going on aroung him.
Things That Make Hearts Break
The poem Things That Make Hearts Break is about false hopes and dreams. People have always let him down and only lie to Tupac. He talks about dreams taht will never come true which takes away all of his hope. Tupac is angry because of all the things that made him believe of good outcome in his situations. He sees hope but is only let down once again. He says, "fairy tales taht never come true" are one of the things that break his heart.

I chose "When Ure Hero Falls" (pg. 119) from The Rose that Grew From Concrete. This peom talks about a child who sees his parent as guidance -- as a hero. However, the parent is unable to provide the child with the love and support the child needs. This poem reminds me of Tupac's relationship with his mother. I think he wrote this because he is reminded of her absence due to her addiction when he was younger. It also proves that parents need to be mentally stable before raising a child and affecting the child with such negative memories. Tupac said, "What are you expected to do when your only hero falls." I think that is the main point of the poem because a child depends on the parent for guidance and help, but without it, the child would become lonely and lost.

“The Rose That Grew From Concrete”
I feel the poem is about never giving up on your goals and dreams. Tupac mentions how he grew up, fatherless, poor, and never given a chance. But he still went after his goals. And if he makes mistakes on his journey to achieve his goals, then he learns from them.
The poem " Or My Soul "This poem is taking about how goverment assisteing black people instead of finding a way to do something that imporv life of the society.Any Adult in society such there is no plane for future life ,specially for young and black instead looking there final destination.

Sometimes I Cry
Sometimes when I’m alone
I cry because I’m on my own
The tears I cry R bitter and warm
They flow with life but take no form
I cry because my heart is torn
And I find it difficult 2 carry on
If I had an ear 2 confide in
I would cry among my treasured friends
But who do you know that stops that long
To help another carry on
The world moves fast and it would rather pass u by
Than 2 stop and c what makes u cry
It’s painful and sad and sometimes I cry
And no one cares about why
The poem “Sometimes I Cry” is about the feelings of abandonment, and how no one is there to listen. Tupac wants to be heard and to be able to confide in someone, but at last no one is there for him. I believe this is a sad poem, but at the same time it makes one feel lucky to have people in their life that will listen to what they have to say. It is unfortunate that Tupac felt that he had no one to open up to.
Lovely responses everyone.

From "The Rose That Grew From Concrete", the poem i chose was "2 People With 1 Wish." When i read the poem it addressed death, and having a love that survives through it. In this poem Tupac showed his softer side, and you can see how he felt about love. Losing a loved one is hard to deal with. I think Tupac did not want death to be the reasoning for lost love.

From the book,Rose That Grew From Concrete I chose the poem "If I Fail" (27) because this poem is very inspiring. I feel like this poem is trying to tell you to keep on trying because it will lead me somewhere. Don't ever stop. Tupac related himself to this poem from his lifestyle. He talked about how he grew up and how it was hard to live the life he was in but he never gave up. Instead he took what he had and learn from it.
"Falling Star"
I like this poem because it reflects on someone who is looked down on but is really is a strong and intelligent being. He basically is saying with all the ignorance and ridicule keep your head up and show them what you can do.
