The Book Report Essay

Tomorrow in the 9-9:50 a.m. class the presentations start. Bring in abstracts for each person in class (about 25 copies). You can put multiple copies on one page and then cut the paper into strips. Again, an abstract is a short summary of your key ideas.

The presentation is short, 2-3 minutes. Bring your book. You cannot read your paper. Students will respond on your abstract in writing and then respond on the blog. Each presenter will also have to give a self-evaluation of how they did. That will be homework for class each day we present.

In class students who came prepared responded in writing and verbally to each other. I then sat with the group: Alex, Isreal and Leah with Miguel and we talked about the essays.

Do not worry if you missed the peer review. I will give you another opportunity to make up this session on Thursday. Remember, the essay portfolios are due Thursday, May 2 by 12 noon unless other arrangements have been made.
